A second-generation funeral director, Daniel was raised in this profession by his late father, Irving Symonds Jr., who built funeral homes throughout the Chicago area. He carries that legacy forward today, paired with 24 years of distinguished service as a U.S. Army Reserve Soldier, including four tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. Daniel holds an Associate's Degree in Mortuary Science and has been a licensed Illinois funeral director for nearly 30 years. He is deeply rooted in the Elgin community through the American Legion, VFW, and the Elgin Area Historical Society, among others. Daniel and his wife Joy have three children.
